Consumers Power Company General offices: 1945 West Pernait Road,.seckson, MI 49201 e (517) 788 0550 July 19, 1982 Dennis M Crutchfield, Chief Operating Reactors Branch No 5 Nuclear Reactor Regulation US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-155 - LICENSE DPR BIG ROCK POINT PLANT - CORRECTION TO NRC SER FOR SEP TOPIC XV-18, RADIOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES OF A MAIN STEAM LINE BREAK OUTSIDE CONTAINMENT NRC letter dated May 20, 1982 submitted the staff's SER pertaining to SEP Topic XV-18, " Radiological Consequences of a Main Steam Line Failure Outside Containment", for the Big Rock Point Plant. Consumers Power Company review of the subject SER identified an erroneous statement which was inadvertently omitted from our comments submitted on July 15, 1982. The purpose of this correspondence is to identify that additional error.

The first sentence of the 2nd paragraph of page 6 should be revised as follows:

" Big Rock Point's current Tech Spec requires sampling of coolant activity daily during power operation." (The staff's SER indicated that coolant sampling was done every hour during power operation.)

The revised statement is in accordance with the Big Rock Point Plant Technical Specifications 4.1.2.
