Schedule for Submittal of Additional Information on Appendix R
Dear Sir:
Reference (b) requested additional information in support of our proposed modifications regarding Appendix R, Alternative Safe Shutdown System (ASSS).
The information requested was for clarification of details already supplied in response to staff requirements. Discussions with your staff were conducted, after receipt of Reference (b), (1) to explain our plans to engineer and install these modifications, (2) to explain resource allocations in preparation for our upcoming refueling outage, and (3) to explain our plans to reconsider the ASSS conceptual design during our integrated assessment process being conducted under the Systematic Evaluation Program.
During these discussions, we identified that response to your request for information could na Fe subritted in the time frame specified in Reference (b).
Information in response to your concerns will be developed and submitted within 45 days from the date of this letter.
