. NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS

- JUNE, 1982 In the month of June there was one (1) power reduction.

On June 6th, in order to improve reactor coolant pump seal performance, I the RCS pressure was momentarily increased to approximately 2250 psi.

4 During this evolution, the PORV 444A controller was placed in the manual mode in order to block the signal which causes the PORV to open. However,

, while the "open" signal was still present, the controller was returned

to AUTO resulting in a challenge to the PORV. . The PORV opened and following ,

a decrease in pressure to 2235 psi the PORV returned to the closed position.

1 The following safety-related maintenance was performed in the month of' June:

1. Performed miscellaneous maintenance on diesel generators i 2. Replaced the IB BIT Recirculation Pump i
3. Repacked the IB Service Water Pump
4. Adjusted packing in (IA RHR Suction from Containment Sump) motor i operated valve.
