Dear Mr. De1 George:
This confirms our telephone authorization given on June 26,1982 for a change in Technical Specifications for the Zion Station, Unit No.1, as requested by the Commonwealth Edison Company letter dated June 25, 1982. Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 is amended on June 26, 1982 by making the following Technical Specification change:
Add a foot note to page 168 to read:
"For Unit I during the period June 26th through July 3d1982 reactor operation is allowed with one safety injection ptanp inoperable provided that both centrifugal charging pump systems and both residual heat removal systems are operable. During this period, power level will not exceed approximately 5%
of rated power level"
Copies of the License Amendment, our Safety Evaluation, and Federal Register Notice for this Technical Specification change will be sent to you when completed.
