Dear Mr. Stolz:
By letter dated June 2,1982, Florida Power Corporation (FPC) committed to install debris screens for the inboard containment purge and vent valves as outlined in the Safety Evaluation Report provided with a letter from your office dated April 29, 1982. FPC anticipated submitting an installation schedule by July 9,1982, based upon contractual support. Our initial efforts to contract this effort proved to be unacceptable. To date, subsequent efforts are making available, for our evaluation, additional proposals for installation of these debris screens. In order to allow adequate time for evaluation of these new proposals, FPC will submit our installation schedule for the containment purge debris screens prior to August 31,1982.
