July 8, 1982 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER On June 10, 1981, Westinghouse Electric Corporation requested permission to withdraw its application for a special nuclear material license related to a proposed facility at Prattsville, Alabama.
Eleven months after the request to withdraw was filed, the NRC Staff notified Westinghouse on May 11, 1982 that it "has stopped all work on the Environmental Impact Statement and all information and correspondence associated with this docket has been placed in storage."
Mr. Turk, counsel for the NRC Staff in this matter, understands that the motion to dismiss the proceeding before this Board will be filed in the near future by Westinghouse.

1 h In order that the Board's records will reflect the situation regarding withdrawal of application in a timely manner it is ORDERED That if Westinghouse does not file a motion to dismiss its application on or before July 30, 1982, the Board, on its own initiative, will dismiss the matter of Westinghouse Electric Corporation's Application bearing Docket No. 70-2909 "without prejudice."
