Dear Mr. Counsil:

SUBJECT:

MILLSTONE 1 - SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION PROGRAM INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT SCilEDULE OF EVENTS Enclosed is a proposed schedule of events listing the course of action to complete the draft integrated assessment (IA) in a timely manner.

This schedule was discussed with a representative of your company at a meeting at flRC (Bethesda, Maryland) on June 16, 1982. The purpose of the schedule is to detail the proposed course of action necessary to finalize the work that must be done in order to support ticely completion of the draft integrated assessment for Millstone 1.

As was discussed at the June 16, 1982 meeting, the NRC proposes to perform the IA for Millstone 1 in parallel with Oyster Creek and Dresden 2.

The proposal should allow for more efficient use of resources and a uniform implementation of HRC positions.

Sincerely, James Shea, Project Manager Operating Reactors Branch No. 5 1
