Dear Mr. Denton:
Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut's letter of June 2,1981 (Enclosure 4, Item 1) summarized the NRC's requirements related to environmental qualification of safety-related electrical equipment. Attached are five copies of Duke Power Company's response to NUREG-0588 for the Catawba Nuclear Station.
This submittal contains only the equipment qualification summary tables. Duke's position on the Category 11 Guidelines of NUREG-0588 and the associated compari-son tables will be provided in a future revision to this document.
It should also be noted that the equipment qualification summary tables contain outstanding items as noted by the term "LATER."
These items will be resolved as our total qualification review progresses and will be addressed in future revisions to the submittal.
