Your letter to Omaha Public Power District dated May 18, 1982 forwarded for confirmation a " phone conversation record" prepared by Mr.
Tourigny of your staff. The phone conference between members of your staff and District staff members on March 24, 1982 was related to instrument errors for equipment installed in response to the subject TMI requirements. The District has reviewed the " phone conversation record" enclosed with the May 18, 1982 letter and concurs with the recorded answers to questions 1, 5, 6, and 7. However, for questions 2, 3, and 4 the District provided vendor supplied component accuracy and time response values. Two of the range values listed in the phone conversation record are incorrect. The instrement range for the wide range con-tainment pressure channel (A2) is 0 psig to 195 psig, not -5 to 195 psig. The containment level transmitter range (A4) is 27'6", not 32".
There was also an assumption made by your staff that the vender supplied accuracy values were for one Standard Deviation (SD) of error, there is no reference to this in the phone record. It should also be noted that the Conmission staff calculated system SD's from the District supplied accuracy / range / time response values. The District has not nor can we verify these calculations. However, other than those comments above, the District concurs with the phone conversation record as written.
