Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to confirm our verbal report to Mr. E. R. Swanson, NRC Region III Inspector, on June 3, 1982 at approximately 1800 hours0.0208 days <br />0.5 hours <br />0.00298 weeks <br />6.849e-4 months <br />, at which time we reported that field inspection of Panel VCC 2ABV-A showed this panel to have mounting details different from that re-quired by the drawings.
Evaluation of these mountings confirmed the necessity for modification for seismic consideration. Temporary lateral bracing was installed the evening of June 3.
Permanent modification in accordance with RFC 02-2603 was approved by a temporary waiver letter, also June 3,1982.
Installation of the permanent modification is in progress at this time.
A complete report will be submitted within fourteen (14) days.
