In acccrdance with present NRC prodedures regarding Board Notifications, the enclosed nemerandum is being provided for your information as constituting new information relevant and material to quality assurance matters before you.
The enclosed memorandum indicates Region III's pl'ans to initiate a more in-depth look into its quality assurance concerns for instrumentation and to continue close nonitoring of quality assurance problems associated with restart of the underpinning work. As indicated in the enclosure, we will inform the Board promptly of the results of the review of this matter or of any reoccurrences of implementation problems.
