OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 48to Facility Operating License No. DPR-61, issued to Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Co. r (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Haddam Neck Plant'(facility) located in Middlesex County, CT. This amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

The amendment changes the Technical Specifications to reflect editorial revisions to Section 3.6 and organizational title change %.

The application for amendment complies with the standards and req'uire-ments of the Atomic Energy' Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rples and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate l

findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was. not required since the amendment does ~

l not' involve a significant hazards consideration.

The Comission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will 1

not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursua'nt to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
