Enclosed is Special Huclear Material License No. SNM-1270. Amendment No. 2 (which revises the license in its entirety). The license authorizes General Electric to possess byproduct, source, and special nuclear material in packages whose design has been approved pursuant to 10 CFR Part 71 for the purpose of delivery of this material to a carrier for transport and for use in private carriage. Under the tenns of this license, special nuclear material may only be used in research and development activities (10 CFR 570.4).
