Subject: Combined Inspection 50-352/82-05; 50-353/82-04
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection by Mr. J. P. Durr on March
1-30, 1982 at the Limerick Generating Station, Limerick, Pennsylvania. The
inspection consisted of document reviews, interviews, and observation of activi-
ties, and the results have been discussed with Messrs P. K. Pay 11 des and J. M.
Corcoran of your staff.
Apparent violations of NRC requirements are cited in Appendix A and categorized
under the NRC Enforcement Policy,10CFR2 Appendix C (47FR9987, March 9,1982).
A reply is required and should be prepared in accordance with Appendix A.
It is
exempt from the Office of Management and Budget's clearance procedures under the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
Enclosed Violation A.2 is a repeat of Violation B forwarded by our October 20,
1980 letter. Although this specific Violation is not of significant safety con-
cern, we are concerned about the effectiveness of your corrective actions. Please
give measures to prevent recurrence of Violations special attention in your reply.
In accordance with 10CFR2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be
placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office, by telephone,
within ten days of the date of this letter and submit written application to with-
hold information contained therein within thirty days of the date of this letter.
Such application must be consistent with the requirements of 10CFR2.790(b)(1).
