TMI Action Plan Item II.K.3.3, Reporting Relief Valve and Safety Valve Failures and Challenges Re: Cooper Nuclear Station We have reviewed your responses dated December 30, 1980 and February 27, 1981 to the above TMI Action Plan item. Your responses did not commit to meeting all of the reporting requirements for this issue. Specifically, you did not coninit to prompt NRC notification of future failures of relief valve or safety valve failures.
It is requested that you provide by letter your commitment to comply with the above reporting requirements. Your response is requested within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
It is planned that these reporting requirements will be formalized in your plant's Technical Specifications.
We will contact you in the future regarding this.
This request for information was approved by the Office of Management and Budget under clearance number 3150-0065 which expires May 31, 1983.
