3 Reserve Waste Water Tankage TM

In accordance with paragraph 2.E(3) of the Facility Operating Lice se., _,g -)
suitable tankage is maintained to store waste water from TMI-2.
Additionally, this paragraph requires that the NRC be advised of the tankage identified for this purpose.
Presently, we are maintaining the Lower Tank Farm empty and the "A" and "C" Reactor Coolant Bleed Tanks (RCBT's) at less than 50,000 gallons to provide this reserve tankage. With the lowering of the containment water level to less than 40,000 gallons, this amount of reserve tankage is no longer necessary; therefore, we propose to change the reserve tankage require-ment such that only the Lower Tank Farm be required to be maintained as Reserve Tankage.
This will permit the "A" and "C" RCBT's to be used for Reactor Coolant System processing without restriction.
Additionally, now that the reserved tankage has the capacity to store the water remaining in the Reactor Containment Building, the Sump Water Contingency Plan is no longer needed. This plan was developed to store the initial volume of reactor building sump water in onsite shielded storage in the event of an emergency. Therefore, since the need for this plan no longer exists, with your concurrence we propose to suspend it.
