On May 14, 1982, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in the above-captioned matter issued its Initial Decision authorizing full power operation of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3. As permitted by 10 C.F.R. S 2.764 (f) (2) (ii) , SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, SAN DIEGO GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY and the CITIES OF ANAHEIM and RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (" Applicants") on May 21, 1982 submitted Applicants' Comments on Initial Decision Authorizing Full Power Operation (" Applicants ' Comments") .

The subject comments were directed to a condition set forth in paragraph C.5 of Part V of the Initial Decision. (Initial Decision, p. 216.)

On May 25, 1982, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board issued Order (Making Clarifying Change in Initial Decision) . App 3i. cants have reviewed that clarification and are of the opinion that it renders the comments contained in Applicants' Comments of May 21, 1982 moot.

In view of the clarification contained in the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Order of May 25, 1982, Applicants hereby withdraw, on the grounds they are moot, the comments previously filed on May 21, 1982.
