By letter dated October 16, 1981 the NRC issued an evaluation of SEP Topic XV-3 for the Big Rock Point Plant. One minor correction should be made to i

that evaluation.

On page one of the SER, the last sentence ("The plant is designed.

turbine bypass valve") should be revised to read "The plant is designed to accomodate a 138kV transmission line trip at reactor power up to about 160MWt without a reactor scram by automatic opening of the turbine bypass valve." This modified sentence reflects the as-built capability of the turbine bypass system rather than the design goal.

Note that this change does not affect the conclusion of the SER.
