7590-01 UNITED STATES fluCLEAR REGULATORY C0!411SSION DOCKET NO. 50-313 ARKANSAS POWER & LIGHT C0!1PANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF Af1ENDf'ENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has issued Amend-ment No. 65 to Fac,ility Operating License No. DPR-51, issued to Arkansas Power and Light Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications (TSs) for operation of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No.1 (the facility), located in Pope County, Arkansas. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment revised the Appendix B TSs to delete certain nonradiological water quality surveillance requirements of Sections 2.1 and 4.1.
The applications for the amendment comply with the standards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations.
The Conmission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards con-sideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment is a ministerial action required as a inatter of law and that therefore no environmental I
impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need l
be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
