Technical Specification 3.2.A.(4) requires that Chemical and Volume Control System piping and valves be operable to the extent of establishing two flow paths for boric acid tanks whenever fuel is in the reactor.
For approximately three days, from May 10 to May 13, 1982, two of the three existing boric acid flow paths in Unit I were inadvertently isolated at the same time for maintenance activities. Upon realization of the deficiency on May 13, 1982, both of +he isolated flowpaths were restored, j
bringing the unit back into compliance with the Technical Speci'ications.
Prompt notification was provided by telephone to Duty Officer Morroniello at NRC Headquarters at 1654 hours0.0191 days <br />0.459 hours <br />0.00273 weeks <br />6.29347e-4 months <br /> on May 13, 1982. The 14-day written follow-up report detailing the event and Licensee Event Report 82-012 will be submitted by May 28, 1982.
