I understand that in recent conversation you commented on the value Rochester Gas & Electric found in using a mockup of the Ginna steam generators.
We appreciate your bringing this to our attention.
We, too, have found the use of mockups to be very helpful.
Since the beginning of the year we have had both upper and lower OTSG plenums mockups set up in the plant.
Attached are photographs which show the mockup and some of its details.
The mockups have been utilized by the Training Department for radiation workers training of all personnel who work in the steam generators.
The training includes such things as demonstration of dressing and un-dressing techniques, working in a wet suit with an air supply hood, minimizing the spread of contamination, and various safety require-ments as well as dry-running the physical work.
I would be happy to provide additional details on our utilization of the mockups should they be of interest.
