This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Thomas J. Kenny of this
office on March 16, 1982 to April 15, 1982 at Indian Point Nuclear. Generating
Station, Unit 3, Buchanan, New York, of activities authorized by NRC License
No. DPR-64, and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. T. J. Kenny
with yourself and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the in-
a
spection.

Amas examined ering this inspection am described in the Nuclear Regulatory
Comerission Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
mpresentative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taku. to correct the items of
noncompliance bmught to your attention in the enclosure to our letters dated
March 19,1980. My 4,1980, and February 24, 1982. We have no further ques-
tions regarding your action at this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosum
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office,
by telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and submit written
application to withhold inferination contained themin within thirty days of
the date of this letter. Such application must be consistent with the re-
quirements of 2.790(b)(1).

to discuss them with you.
