Gentlemen:
This is to inform you that AT&T has revised the time intervals for normal service requests for ENS and HPN circuits. Upon receipt of an order from the NRC Telecommunications Branch, AT&T will schedule service according to the examples below.
1.
New service requiring the telephone company 60 working to conduct engineering tests / design and obtain days additional communications packages; Note: A move of an existing communications package that exceeds 10,000 cable feet from the main control room constitutes a new service.
2.
Additional instruments as part of existing 20 to 30 working packages; days 3.
Move of existing service (not exceeding 20 to 30 working distance limitation);
days 4.
Move of existing service within same building.
7 to 10 working days.
The above time intervals are based on availability of existing cable facilities, sufficient AC power for communications packages, informed con-tacts and accessibility to the work area by telephone company personnel.
t Requests made by licensees should first be coordinated with the regional office. The region will forward the request in writing to NRC Telecommunica-tions Branch, with copies to the resident inspectors. Telecommunications Branch will provide each office with a copy of the order to AT&T.
