Dear Mr. Keppler:
f Reference (a) transmitted I.E.Bulletin 80-13, which identified instances of cracking in Core Spray Spargers at BWR fac1]ities.
Re ference (b) documented the results o f our Dresden Unit 2 inspection.
No adverse conditions or abnormalities were observed during that inspection.
On January 13, 1982, we conducted an inspection of both the upper and lower core spray spargers on our Dresden Unit 3.
No abnormalities were noted.
This completes the initial inspection o f the core spray spargers for both Units 2 and 3 as directed by the subject I.E.Bulletin 80-13.
Inspection of the core spray spargers for both units will continue to be performed during every refueling outage until further notice.
This item has been added to the station surveillance compu-ter log to assure future completion of this inspection.
