Post Accident Instrument Errors
Dear Mr. Seidle:
This is an interim report on a potential 10CFR50.55(e) matter concerning potential post accident errors in the reactor coolant wide range pressure instrument. This matter was first reported to the NRC on April 7,1982, by Westinghouse, and subsequently reported to Mr. Karl Seyfrit, NRC Region IV, on April 8, 1982, by Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E). This item was also the subject of I&E Information Notice No. 82-11.
Westinghouse is submitting additional information to KG&E on this matter for evaluation and disposition. The status of this evaluation will be reported to you on or before June 9,1982.
In the interim, please direct any questions on this matter to me or to Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff.
