Inspection 50-320/82-02
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. R. Conte of
this office on February 16,1982 - March 20,1982, of activities authorized
by NRC License DPR-73 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Conte
with Mr. L. King and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas,

the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and repre-

sentative records, interviews with personnel, measurements, and observations
by the inspector.

In accordance with our April 1,1982 letar which transmitted NRC Region I
Inspection Report No. 50-320/82-01, results of MRC independent measurements
'

and sample analysis, associated with Reactor Building Entry No. 33 and conducted
by our regional office laboratory, are included in Attachment 1 to the enclosed
report. The purpose of these independent measurements is to verify your capa-
bility for analyzing radioactive samplos, and to achieve and maintain comparable m
methods of analyses between your facility and the NRC. We have no further
coments in this regard.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations
brought to your attention in the enclosum to our letter dated October 29,1979.
