ENCLOSURE 1 NRC FACILITIES / EQUIPMENT NEEDS AT TSC AND EOF GENERAL Gul0ANCE (NUREG 0696)

A.

Technical Suoport Center (TSC) 1.

In the TSC working space, space for five NRC personnel (minimum size of working space provided shall be approximately 75 sq. f t./berson).

2.

A separate room adequate for at least three persons to be used for private NRC consultations.

3.

The TSC voice comunications equipment shall include:

hotline tele-phone (located in the NRC consultation room) on the NRC emergency notification system (ENS) to the NRC Ooerations Center; dedicated telephone (located in the NRC consultation room) on the NRC health physics network (HPN).

4.

The TSC comunication system shall also include designated telephones (in addition to the ENS and HPN Telephones) for use by NRC personnel.

The licensee shall provide at least two dial telephone lines for such NRC use when the TSC is activated.

The licensee shall also furnish the onsite access facilities and cables to the NRC for the ENS and HPN Telephones.

5.

Facsimile transmission capability between the TSC, EOF, and the NRC Operations Center shall also be provided.

B.

Emergency Operations Facility (E0F) 1.

The E0F working space shall be sized for nine persons from NRC (minimum size of working space provided shall be approximately 75 sq. ft./ person).

2.

The E0F building shall provide separate office space to accomodate at least five NRC personnel during periods that the E0F is activated for emergencies.

3.

The E0F voice communications equipment shall include:

hotline tele-phone (located in the NRC office space) on the NRC emergency notifi-cation system (ENS) to the NRC Operations Center; dedicated teleohone (located in the NRC office space) on the NRC health physics network (HPN).

4.

The E0F communication system shall also include designated telechones (in addition to the ENS and HPN telephones) for use by NRC pcesonnel.

The licensee shall provide at least three dial telephone lines for such NRC use while the EOF is activated.

The licensee shall also furnish the access facilities and cables to the NRC for the ENS and HP.N telephones.

5.

Facsimile transmission capability between the EOF, TSC, and the N'RC Operations Center shall be provided.
