Independent Design Verification - Virgil C. Summer Nuclear on In our letter of March 10, 1982 we requested that you provide a specific proposal for an independent design review of a portion of your facility.
By letter dated April 12, 1982 you provided that proposal and selected the turbine-driven portion of the emergency feedwater system for review by an independent contractor.
We have reviewed the specific proposal contained in your letter of April 12, 1982. We find that, if implemented properly, it is consistent with our letter of March 19, 1982 and constitutes a progran acceptable to the NRC staff. You should advise us inmediately of any changes to either the

progran or schedule outlined in your proposal and any important findings that ensue.
