This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Thomas J. Kenny of this
office on February 16, 1982 to March 15, 1982 at Indian Point fluclear Generating
Station, Unit 3, Buchanan, liew York, of activities authorized by llRC License flo.
DPR-64, and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. T. J. Kenny with your-
self and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the Huclear Regulatory
Comission Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. liithin these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the item of
noncompliance bmught to your attention in the enclosure to our letter dated
January 17, 1979. We have no further questions regarding your action at this
time.
Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that one of your activities
was not conducted in full compliance with IIRC requirements, as set forth in
the liotice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.
