Dear Mr. Keppler:
On March 5,1982, Mr. T. D. Geib of Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) notified your office of a potentially reportable item as required by 10 CFR 50.55(e). Pullman Construction Industries', Inc.
(PCI) shop issued a report under 10 CFR 21 identifying that certain fillet welds had been omitted from heating, ventilating and air conditioning (IIVAC) ductwork stiffeners.
Some of this ductwork has been delivered to the site by PCI.
Analysis of the effect of the missing fillet welds is presently under.
review by the plant designer, Sargent & Lundy.
Based upon this analysis it will be determined what corrective action, if any, will be necessary.
This letter is intended to fulfill the requirements of an interim report as defined in 10 CFR 50.55(e). A further report will be filed on or before June 14, 1982.
