Ni; comas Oramations Mr. Ilarold R. Denton, Director Serial No. 200 Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation N0/DWL:acm Attn: Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut Director Docket No. 50-339 Division of Licensing License No. NPF-7 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555 Centlemen:

VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NO. 2 LICENSE CONDITIONS 2.C.(15)(f) and 2.C.(20)(b)

Attached are the test results for the North Anna Unit No. 2 Natural Circulation Boron Mixing and Cooldown %st (2-ST-34). These test results are being supplied pursuant to License Condition 2. C. (15) (f) of the North Anna Unit No. 2 Operating License, NPF-7. Additionally, License Condition 2.C.(20)(b), Training During Low-Power Testing, has been met through the performance of the test.

These tests were required to demonstrate the ability to cooldown under natural circulation conditions and to demonstrate that boron mixing was sufficient under these conditions to compensate for the positive reactivity insertion of the cooldown. This requirement was addressed in Section 5.4.3 of the North Anna Power Station Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG-0053, Supplement No. 11, August 1980). The test results demonstrate that the boration capability under natural circulation is more than adequate to offset the cooldown reactivity effects.

Very truly y urs,
