REPORT MONTH OCTOBER, 1981
)
SU:P!ARY OF OPERITING EXPERIENCES s
The plant was at full load at the beginning of the month.
1 On October 10th, a load reduction to 75% was performed in order to complete routine monthly surveillance testing of turbine valves and to perform mussel-control operations on the service and circulating water headers.
The load reduction was extended due to a ruptured expansion joint on the discharge of l
P-26D circulating water pump. The plant returned to full power on October 17.
On October 19, a load reduction to 81% was performed when the undervoltage relays to 4160 volt bus 3 were inadvertently deenergized. Power was momen-tarily interrupted to P-27A condensate pump and P-26A and P-26C circulating
~
water pumps. Tlic plant returned to full power on October 19.
On October 22, a plant shutdown was performed to investigate and repair an unreliable lube oil IcVel indication on #2 RCP.
The plant returned to full i
power on October 26.
l On October 31, a load reduction and unit shutdown was performed to investigate a faulty lube oil level indication on #3 RCP. The plant was returning to full power at the end of the month.
