Babcock & Wilcox Company Docket:
99900001/82-01 NOTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on February 1-5, 1982, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted in accordance with NRC. requirements as indicated below:
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important activities have been satisfactorily accomplished."
Manufacturing Procedure, Distribution of CNFP Manufacturing Engineering Documents, MA-1200, Revision 5, paragraph V states in part: " Continually review Appendices for adequacy of distribution as evidenced by requests for special copies... Fonnally canvas the. designated recipients by memo in March and September to reaffirm their continued need."
Contrary to the above the formal canvas of document recipients has not been performed in at least the last year.
