IN RESPONSE REFER Washington, DC 20036 TO F01A-81-517
Dear Mr. Lanpher:
This is in response to your letter dated December 30, 1981 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, records which relate to the evaluation of emergency operating procedures at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant by the Xyzyx Information Corporation.
This confirms information relayed during subsequent telephone conversations between Linda Robinson and you and your consultant, Richard Hubbard.
During a telephone conversation on December 31 to clarify the scope of your request, you stated that you are not interested in records, e.g.
proposals, generated prior to award of the contract but, instead, are interested only in substantive reports regarding the firm's evaluation of the Diablo Canyon plant.
During a telephone conversation on January 12, you were informed that relevant records have already been made available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room. The records which are available at the PDR are listed below.
Contract NRC-03-80-118 and modifications thereto NUREG/CR-1999 Safety Evaluation Report for the Diablo Canyon plant During separate telephone conversations, you and Richard Hubbard noted that NUREG/CR-1875 appeared to indicate that the finn prepared a separate report on Diablo Canyon and requested a copy of that report.
- However, the firm merely prepared a set of handwritten notes regarding a visit to Diablo Canyon, not a separate report, which was utilized by the firm during a meeting with NRC to discuss evaluation procedures. We are enclosing a copy of these handwritten notes.
Sincerely,
'/

. M. Felton, Director Division of Rules and Records Office of Administration
