Dear Mr. Seidle :
The purpose of this letter is to provide an update on the inves-tigations of nonconforming Rockbestos cable which was delivered to Wolf Creek Generating Station as described in the Referenced report.
The test results of representative sample specimens from 15 reels /
of 2/C #14 cable and 6 reels of 4/C #14 cable have been evaluated by the Architect Engineer and were found to be acceptable. This represents approximately 110,000 feet of the previously reported 130,000 feet of cable. Cable from these reels have been installed I
in non-safety related equipment only.

Final evaluation of the test results from the 7/C #14 AWG cable has v not been completed. A small amount has been installed in safety-related equipment and is identified. The remaining portion of cable is still on hold in the reel yard, with Deficiency Reports being used to document the cable until a final engineering disposition is available.
The status of the evaluation and disposition of the Rockbestos cable used in safety-related equipment will be reported to your office on or before May 28, 1982.
