This letter is to confirm the 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> notification of Mr.

William Raymond, NRC Inspector representing Mr. Roy Zimmerman, NRC Resident Inspector on March 24, 1982 regarding LER.82-010, Removal of Fire Watches from inoperable fire zone S-015.

In accordance with Technical Specifications, article 6.9.2.a.2,

" Operation of the unit or affected systems when any parameter or operation subject to a limiting condition is less conservative than the least conservative aspect of the limiting condition for operation established in the technical specifications",

tne following is submitted.

On March 23, 1982 at 1348 hours0.0156 days <br />0.374 hours <br />0.00223 weeks <br />5.12914e-4 months <br />, a local radiation emergency was declared for the Intermediate Building, North.

In accordance with site contingency procedures, this building was evacuated for personnel protection.

This included the evacuation at 1359 hours0.0157 days <br />0.378 hours <br />0.00225 weeks <br />5.170995e-4 months <br /> of the fire watch established for inoperable fire zone S-015.

The cause of this event was due to an increase in airborne activity associated with modification activities in the "R"

Steam Generator.

The fire watch was returned to this area at 1525 hours0.0177 days <br />0.424 hours <br />0.00252 weeks <br />5.802625e-4 months <br />.
