Inspection No. 70-1426/81-02 44 ro This refers to the in-transit inspection conducted by G. C. Smith of this office, on December 7, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC export licenses XSNM 1236, 1482, and 1680. Due to the nature of the inspection,no exit interview was conducted at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 of the NRC's regulations, documentation of security measures for the physical protection of special nuclear materials and certain plant equipment vital to the safety of production or utilization facilities are deemed to be Safeguards Information.
Each person who produces, receives, or acquires Safeguards Information is required to ensure that it is protected against unauthorized disclosure.
Therefore, except for the report coversheet, the enclosure to this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will be distributed pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21(c).
No reply to this letter is required.
