This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and Proposed
\\\\
Imposition of Civil Penalties in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars wilLb i issued on or about March 29, 1982 to the Georgia Power Company. This action is based on six violations involving:
failure to review proposed changes to unit systems that affect nuclear safety; failure to comply with requirements on reporting deviations; failure to make required NRC reports; failure to demonstrate system operability as required by Technical Specification action statements; failure to make required internal reports in the QA area; and failure to maintain written minutes of PRB meetings as required by Technical Specifications.
A news release has been prepared and will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notice. The State of Georgia will be notified.
It should be noted the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action. The schedule of issuance and notification is:

Following NRC' staff evaluation of the response, the civil penalties may be remitted, mitigated or imposed by Order.
