Dear Mr. Stolz:

This is in response to your letter dated February 16, 1982, requesting informatica on the details of indication for the operation of undervoltage relay bypass pushbuttons.

Per our previous submittal, Serial No. 736, dated August 31, 1981, Toledo Edison is committed to meet IEEE 279-71.

In order to satisfy the intent of this standard as related to indication of bypasses, we have modified the proposed circuit to include an indicating light in the control room.

This light will provide a continuous indication when the undervoltage pushbuttons have been depressed to bypass the undervoltage relays.

The enclosed attachment provides the description of the bypass pushbutton and indicating light. This reflects a revision to the type of pushbutton described in our previous submittal, Serial No. 736.

It is expected that this information is enough to clarify the intended use and function of the bypass pushbuttons to authorize the proposed technical specification change submitted in Toledo Edison letter dated March 23, 19/9 (Serial No. 487).

Yours very truly,
