NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

MONTH: September, 1981 4

Oconee 2 began the month at near rated power. Power was reduced on September 4 at 2222 to remove reactor coolant pump 2B2 from service because of a low oil level alana on the lower motor bearing.

I The unit was shutdown on September 6 at 2330 after indication of a low oil level in both the 2A2 and 2B2 RCP lower motor bearings. After inspection and correction of the problem the unit was returned to service on September 17 at 0746 and increased

. in power.

A tube leak in the 2"B" steam generator forced the unit from service on September 18 at 1559. . Repair of the leak continued the remainder of the month.
