AFFIDAVIT OF KENNETH W. WOODWARD REGARDING M. S. MEDEIROS, JR. TRIP REPORT ON V. C. SUMMER OPERATING PROCEDURES Kenneth W. Woodward, being first duly sworn according to law comes forward and states:

My name is Kenneth W. Woodward. I am employed by South Carolina Electric & Gas Company as Supervisor of Operations in the Nuclear Operations Department. I have been employed by South Carolina Electric & Gas Company since 1977 as Nuclear Reactor Operator, Shift Supervisor, and Assistant

! Operations Supervisor prior to holding my present position.

I had ten years previous nuclear experience with the U. S.

Army Nuclear program as Nuclear Power Plant Shift Super-I visor, Operations Supervisor, and Plant Supervisor at the l

! Army's SM-1 and MH-1A plants at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and

the Panama Canal Zone, respectively.

l The purpose of my affidavit is to verify matters stated l

l by Mr. Louis F. Storz on information and belief on pages 8-10 of his affidavit concerning remarks made by M. S.

e e December 17-18, 1981. I am the employee to whom those remarks were made. I can and do verify that Mr. Storz' account regarding the substance of conversations between myself and Mr. Medeiros on December 17 and 18 is true and correct. I have refreshed my recollections against a memorandum I prepared regarding Mr. Medeiros' visit.
