\\s Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Units 1 and 2 Natural Circulation Cooldown (Generic Letter No. 81-21)
Gentlemen:
In response to your letter dated May 5,1981, Alabama Power Company committed to furnishing an assessment of its facility procedures and training program for Natural Circulation Cooldown 90 days after receipt of approved procedural guidelines from Westinghouse Owners Group (W0G).
These approved guidelines were received on December 8, 1981; however, the guidelines received did not sufficiently address Natural Circulation Cooldown for some plants. Westinghouse, at the December, 1981 WOG Pro-cedures Subcommittee meeting, was requested to review and revise their guidelines to include operating instructions for all plants. Alabama Power Company has begun its assessment of the facility procedures and training program; however, completion of this assessment can not be finalized until receipt of the revised guidelines, currently scheduled for April, 1982.
Ninety days after receipt of the approved revised procedural guidelines from WOG, Alabama Power Company will furnish an assessment of its facility procedures and training program for Natural Circulation Cooldown.
