TMI ACTION PLAN ITEM II.K.3.3, REPORTING RELIEF VALVE AND SAFETY VALVE FAILURES AND CHALLENGES We have reviewed your response to the above THI Action Plan Item as contained in the Commonwealth Edison Company letter riated December 15, 1980. Your response did not comit to meeting all of the reporting requirements for this issue. Specifically, CECO did commit to reporting failure promptly to the NRC but did not indicate that future challenges of relief valves or safety valves would be documented via annual or monthly operating reports submitted to the fiRC. Reporting period for these challenges should begin April 1, 1980.
It is requested that you provide by letter your comitment to comply with the above reporting requirements. Your response is requested within 30 days receipt of this letter.
It is planned that these reporting requirements will be formalized administratively in your plant's Technical Specifications.
We will contact you in the future regarding this.
