The referenced letter transmitted our application for a x
special nuclear material license for our Callaway Plant Unit 1.

This letter documents a phone call between Mr.

L. Serini 'and _.-

E.
Shafer (UE) on January 28, 1982 concerning racks for new fuel at Callaway Plant.
The fuel cans are made of 304 stainless stee],,0.075" thick.
Because our fuel load date has been deferred until June, 1983, we will not receive fuel prior to early September, 1982; therefore, we will not require the Special Nuclear Material License.until August 1, 1982.
A response to Mr. Serini's letter of. January 8, 1982 will be transmitted near the end of February,' 1982.
