This is in response to your letter of Decerber 30, 1981 regarding irplementation of 10 CFR 73.21 requirements.
We have reviewed your request and your proposed schedule for reduction in SHM inventory and have determined that interim protective measures are appropriate. Accordingly, full irplerentation of 10 CFR 73.21 may be deferred provided that:
(1) the schedule for shipment of material comitted to in your letter is adhered to; (2) current Safeguards Infornation (as set forth in 10 CFR 73.21(b)(1) and (2)), while in use, is under the control of cnly authorized individuals; and (3) Safeguards Information, while unattended, is stored in locked facilities to which only authorized individuals have access.
