NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY i
OPERATING LICENSE i
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has i
issued Amendment No. 70 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-l',
issued to Portland General Electric Company, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and Pacific Power and Light Company (the licensees), which revised
. Technical Specifications for operation of Trojan Nuclear Plant (the i
facility) located in Columbia County, Oregon. The amendment is effective upon entry into Operational Mode 2 (Startup) for Fuel Cycle 5.
The amendment deletes requirements relating _to part-length control l
rod assemblies, i.hereby allowing their removal from the reactor core.
i The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulctions in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in o
the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required si.nce this amendment does not involve a significant hazards l
consideration.
