The purpose of this statement is to provide the NRC with needed assurcnce, by the licensee, regarding the continued safety of the facilities until you can provide an item-by-item reevaluation in a detailed documented tanner at a later date.
A negative finding on your part concerning the safety of continued oceration would result in a unit shutdown, and should be reported as a Licensee Event Report (LER) within twenty-four (24) hours of the deter-nimation to the a:propriate "RC Regional Of fice.
Include in the LER the actions you have takan for the i mediate resolutten of the matter.
A copy cf any such LER should be sent to the Director, Division of Licensing, Office of ':cclear c.eactor Oegul aticn.
