SUBJf.CT : APPROVAL OF COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY'S REQUEST TO RELOCATE THE ZION EMERGENCY OPERATIONS FACILITY (E0F) (TAC NOS. M85138 AND M85139)

On March 31, 1993 Commonwealth Edison Company submitted a change requestito its Generic Generating Stations Emergency Plan (GSEP) Manual.

This' change request consisted of revisions associated with the use of your Corporate Emergency Operations Facility (CEOF) as an interim Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) until the nearsite E0F is activated.

This change request 'also --

encompassed a change to designate the CEOF as the backup E0F for Zion Nuclear, Power Station.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the staff has approved your request to designate the CE0F as the backup EOF for the Zion Nuclear Power Station.

However, as you are aware, the remaining changes requested by you'

in your March submittal are still under staff review.

This concludes our review effort related to this specific aspect of your submittal and closes TAC Nos. M85138 and M85139.
