NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-445/93-29; 50-446/93-29
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. A. B. Earnest of this office on
July 12-16,19!)3. The inspection included a review of activities authorized
for your Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station. At the conclusion of the
inspection, the findings were discussed with you and those members of your
staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
These
areas included selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
The results of
this inspection are documented in the enclosed report.
It is our understanding that, during the exit meeting conducted on July 16,

1993, Mr. B. Lancaster, Plant Support Manager, committed to ensure that
security officers will be routinely issued security key rings in order to
f acilitate their movements if the security cardreaders were disabled by
computer failure.
If your understanding of this commitment differs from ours,
please contact me immediately.
