DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Confinuration Manarement Prorram Six Month Status Report In our letter dated November 13, 1989, and at a meeting with the NRC on December 14, 1989, NSP agreed to provide semi-annual status reports to the NRC on the progress of the Configuration Management Programs at Monticello and Prairie Island. This letter, and attachments, provides our status through June 30, 1993.

There are presently no high-priority FOl's in the assessment process.

During this six month period, FOl's have resulted in one Licensee Event Report. This

- LER (L1-93-07) related to the coverage of specific valves under the ASME Section XI program.

Oncoine Configuration Manacement Activities:

i 1.

Modification Packages and Non-modification Safety Evaluations are reviewed for consistency with the documented design basis. There were 19 Modification and 11 Safety Evaluation reviews performed during the first six months of 1993.

2.

Configuration Management engineers are involved in a programmatic effort to improve Prairie Island site electrical drawings.

3.

The Configuration Management program is assisting in an effort to improve management of design information such as analyses of record through development of a Prairie Island site Engineering Manual.

4.

Configuration Management engineers are continuing to mvise previous DBD's to incorporate new modifications, regulatory matters, and closure of Open Items.
